MalLabel Music is back once again with some more of that full-band feeling with San Francisco’s NVO, showing us how to bring that funk down as they keep offering their hybrid live/electronic goods to the people.

NVO’s latest release, ‘The Signal,’ is an inspiring collection that draws you to the outer edge of the universe. NVO has taken their sound one step further on this release with the addition of vocalist and trumpet player Charles Darius, wrapping their wildly digital synths beats around around organic elements.

The title track blasts off as all systems are checked before launching us to the cosmos with some soul from Lateef the Truthspeaker. ‘Like A Panther’ drops serious slap over driving vocal styles, while ‘Shift Me’ gets bumping and grinding with sex appeal, featuring Eko Zu. ‘Limitless’ lets the lasers loose in a techy House/Funk banger for dark rooms. Finally, ‘So Alive’ takes it home with smoothe atmospheric beauty beats. These cats bring it every time. We’re always stoked for more NVO, and you will be too!
