about

This week MalLabel Music is overflowing with the beasts and nameless creatures that dwell in the deep as Los Angeles, California's, Kalipzo takes the 808's to a whole new level of deep with an evolution of her usual nasty business into the depths.

Kalipzo has been screaming through the West Coast scene with her synth ripping Dubstep styles and a hint of Trappy goods shredding bass cones along the way. Though she's just getting started with only 5 months since her debut EP, this girl is already showing massive evolution of her sound design capabilities with a fresh new EP combining the grime and presence of her heaviest Dubstep monsters with the subtlety of Liquid Trap's space and atmosphere. The resulting EP we're stoked to bring you today is a masterfully designed Hybrid Trap experience for all senses and moods.

Swimming With Sea Monsters starts off ominously as we sink deeper while 'Nightrider' sets the tone with some manipulated pulses stabbing into the depths. Next up, 'Get Down' gets us into a bouncy under the sea clubbing mood with a nearly unclassifiable Hybrid- Garage-2Step amalgamation to nod to. Further down we find 'Bitter Witch' sloshing about in her underwater lair amongst a host of expertly crafted synthetic elements. Finally, 'The Dead' grimly slog before a host of Hybrid basses cut through each other in a glitch fest of precision grime. A well thought out and expertly crafted experience for bass enthusiasts.
