about

This week MalLabel Music has some heavy hitting business for you with an all star cast of remixes backing the newest EP from Oakland's, PsyFi.

Trippin' through the cosmos on an intergalactic tour of psychedelic bass, PsiFi has spent the last five years building an empire of hallucinatory, experimental soundscapes and mind-bending intonations. This blending of beauty and the unknown has garnered him tour destinations as far and wide as Croatia to Costa Rica and back up through the hottest festival destinations in the Western Hemisphere. His multicolored approach to sound design and progression has always been captivating in it's diversity and his latest EP continues this trend of kaleidoscopic excellence.

Colors begins to paint the airwaves with a palette of menacing basslines in 'New Tricks' getting heavier into 'Abraxas' and it's crackling dance floor storm and then opening up to the swirling atmosphere of the title track. 'Redliner' weaves through a tapestry of dark, soulful energy slowly fracturing across the uplifting, energetic waves of the closing track 'You Lift Me Up'. Backing this beast up are remixes by a diverse five of Bass Music's best: Hollis, Perkulat0r, Muppet Punk, hypha and Wu Wei dropping the heat. Escape the prism and shine your true colors in every conceivable direction with these bombs.
