about

This week MalLabel Music is getting back to the dark and gritty as Denver, Colorado's, Rumblejunkie breaks up his daily Dubstep routine with some tripped out 808's riding along side his usual prime time grime.

When Rumblejunkie moved out of Drum & Bass to the heavy hitting Dubstep scene in the late 2000s, the one vibe that stuck with him like a bad cough was the moody low end of the Jungle scene. You can hear it in the attitude that comes front and center in his tunes as the wobble and chop digs up the grime under all that bass. Keeping that old school vibe alive with the most cutting edge sound design techniques, he's been breaking out Dub and Drumstep right and now with a little bit of that 808 flavor his new EP has brought him full circle to get back down on that wobble.

His newest EP, Blow Yer Mind opens with the title track chopping up the scene with glitches and vocal stabs as the main vocal leads more glitches on a trip. 'Fallout' takes a guitar riff through the grinder as eastern tones psychedelically move through the machine before the horns build up to a fat sub pumping out in waves. 'Gradual' takes that trip to the next level with a full host of psychonautic manipulations shift through space and swirl around our head as a hefty low end drives the energy. Finally, 'Vania' takes the EP home with some show stopping dance floor rumbles for all the bass heads. Get your bass face on and get nasty with all this filthy goodness.
