about

Former Chicago DJ Jason Donnelly, aka DJ Puzzle, is now a Los Angeles based electronic music producer. He has manufactured a boggling number of samples, loops and libraries for companies such as Sony Creative, Acoustica (Beatport), APM (Hollywood), Presonus and Loopmasters. If you listen to electronic music, it is highly improbable that you have not yet heard one of his samples, loops or DJ Tools- whether in another producers music, on TV (Portlandia) or in video games (Saints Row.) Apart from his impressive curriculum vitae, he also happens to enjoy the DJ Life. Jason can mix and scratch his way to a funk frenzied crowd with his own original beats and will continue to do so until the puzzle is put together…and for some reason he just keeps making more pieces.

In his latest release- “Drop it Low”, Puzzle delves down deep into the 808 bass infested trap world. His 12 years of experience in the studio shines through in this EP. Crisp, warm and hyphey, these tracks swoop and dive into yet another mind bending quiz of auditory propor- tions. Big builds and massive drops dive deep into a mysterious system of sound pieced together with sharp boggling rhythm. This EP Features turned and twisted vocal samples from the one and only Mr. Robotic (Watch the Club Go / Fly House Records.) This is layered with electro laser leads that bend and baffle with the beats that solve it all. Be sure to boggle your mind with “Drop it Low”- available at all online retailers October 1st 2013.
